In this edition of the Queen’s Alumni Review, we see a militant protest on campus sanitized, justified as mainstream (which is was not), and valorized as a necessary component of a just society. Yet conversely, at this moment, the administration is attempting to ram through a draconian code of conduct (The Queen’s Patriot Act), criminalizing dissent here at Queen’s. Such a code, if it were instated, would make the above ‘unlawful and disruptive’ action an expellable offense.
TAKE ACTION TO STOP THE CRIMINALIZATION OF DISSENT!

oh that is priceless… i sure hope those alumni and profs so nostalgic for the 60s realize how messed up these measures being pushed by khitch and the senate are!
after first hearing, then reading the actual facts regarding the new code of conduct that Queens University is attemping to put in power, I, as a senior highschool student who doesn’t even GO to Queens, was distinctly unsettled.
what they are doing is blatently oppressive and control hungry, and i hope students at Queens will realize this and take action before the very choice of acting as an individual, for what YOU belive is able to get you expelled.
seriously not cool, Queens.
